"We moved to Cedar Hill, TX at the end of January 2004 with our then 4 year old miniature schnauzer, Bootsie. We tried a number of groomers. The very first one was at the beginning of March didn't expel her anal glands which resulted in one bursting and a huge vet bill. The next one was fine for awhile but we kept having to take her back for her nails to be cut.We tried the vets groomer - oh my word she looked awful! And so it went until finally I went on line and read Classy K9 Cuts web page. I told my husband I know it's far but lets give them a try - we aren't having any luck close to home.
I can not express how happy we have been. First the shop is immaculate - we feel as if we are taking her to a spa! Second they are so kind. Because of her many unpleasant experience she is very nervous about going to the groomer. However she no longer shakes and whines she know Lisa and Roberto will treat her well.
So we will continue to drive 2 hours round trip every 8 weeks because she is our baby even though she now is 9 and she get the utmost care at Classy K9 Cuts.
In fact we have decided to make the trip at 4 weeks for a "comb out"!

"I am a long time breeder and exhibitor of Bichon Frise and up until recently I groomed my own bichons at home.

 Last year I developed a skin problem and could no longer groom my girls so went looking for someone with that special breed knowledge and touch so that they would continue to look like “show dogs” even though two of them are retired now. Bichons are not easy to do up so they look correct and I am very picky about how they look since they represent my breeding program and the breed when people see them.

   I am very pleased with how Lisa and Roberto groom my girls Chili, MeMe and Jackie O.  I am showing Jackie now and without their expert “show” grooming we would not be competitive in the ring. They have also been dog show fans and that shows interest in my breed too.

   The girls are happy in the shop and don’t have to stay all day like other shops make them do. I like that Lisa calls me when they are finished and I can go pick them up and bring them home. This makes the girls happy also.

"Most owners of poodles are intent on locating a groomer who they can trust with their best friend…mine happens to be a Standard Poodle named Maggie. We all want to feel comfortable when we leave our friend. I was fortunate to meet Roberto Melgar and Lisa Roberts three years ago.  They are good people and, when my Maggie came along, there was no doubt in my mind who I would like to groom her. I have never been sorry with my decision. 

Lisa and Roberto are very knowledgeable about the proper grooming of poodles.  Maggie always looks beautiful when I pick her up.  They are very kind and always try to make grooming a pleasant experience. Maggie at times can be a little bratty but I know that Roberto and Lisa will firmly but kindly control her. If Maggie needs some special attention that I can give her in between grooming dates or if I have questions, they show interest and advise me.  I am appreciative of this. 

A “one on one” relationship seems to be formed between them and each of their clients.  I feel that they truly receive joy and show great pride in their work and pass that happiness on to their coworkers and each animal. 

Prices for the services are reasonable and, in fact, there are many options from which to choose.  The facility at Classy K9 Cuts is clean, organized and their customer service is great! 

I highly recommend Classy K9 Cuts to anyone who wants the best experience for their animal.  It is a top notch group and a welcome addition to Plano."

"I had been jumping from groomer to groomer trying to find someone that would have the expertise and patience to groom my 135 pound Airedale, Dreyfus. He can be as sweet as pie one moment and sour as a pickle the next! His large size didn’t help things either. Some groomers completely shaved him just to get it over with. I knew I had to find a groomer that would take the time to groom him the right way, along with dealing with his behavioral issues. So I searched the Web for “groomer special needs behavioral problems” and there was Lisa Roberts. I gave her a call and explained my situation. She asked me to bring Dreyfus by so she could see what she would be dealing with. She assured me there wouldn’t be a problem grooming him. Knowing her background in handling “Problem Dogs” I knew I had found my groomer.

"Classy K9 Cuts is the best dog grooming salon I have found. Lisa and Roberto are experienced in the grooming industry and are sensitive to what dog owners and the dogs want and need.
